HAYTER GROUP PRESENTATION

Steve Gosden representing the Hayter Group presented a cheque to GMHA for $1000 for the” give back program” for the most internet sign-ups on their website.

 

TREASURER’S REPORT-  SARAH McGINNIS

Sarah commented that Brian would like to come to do the final presentation of the 2010-2011 books at the next meeting

Sarah asked on feed back on how we want to see the income statement if the format she was presenting was acceptable

Brian has given Sarah the list of Bingo worker pay-outs

Brian indicated to Sarah  that Dean Titus would like to get a stipend for doing the audit of the books.

BINGOS – APRIL GLITHERO

 

We have all our Bingo Dates up until the end of December in Sarnia

April is looking for some cheques for the Bingo’s

Darryl that works at the door will hand out cheques to parents for doing their volunteer hours

One parent had asked to have their cheques mailed to them after working bingos instead of receiving them at the arena

We will need to submit a budget for bingo’s which Bob Thirlwall will set-up with April.

There is going to be a Bingo weds. Sept 7, 2011 3 bingos in October

Jen Ryan is to get April Glithero a list of registrants.

Allan heating to be asked about what they want to do for sponsorship as they always  were the sponsor for the Midget Rep. team and have been a long time sponsor for that division

Hockey Pools will handed out first before as the season starts

Hockey Pools to be returned back by Oct 15/11

Dream draw tickets will be handed out later as the draw is not until Feb 28, 2012

Numbers really have not changed as of right now Jen & John have talked to numerous people with intent to register but nothing firm as of yet.  Possible 4- 5 Bothwell  kids for Bantam  LL

Eddie Gould was going to put the flyer out in the schools next week

Jeff Tidball to talk to a couple kids about coming back to Glencoe

Bob Thirlwall also to ask a couple people

Some other names were brought up in the discussions

We are going to make a new player registrant incentive for players playing Beginners/ Tyke.

Motion made to give all beginners $100 registration fee with no bingo volunteer hours. Tyke is to be $300 with a bingo volunteer option of $100.  All existing registrants will be returned $100 that has paid their fees in full.

Bob asked Jeff about getting ice from the 19th – 30 th in Bothwell for practices

He has the New Jerseys at his house.

Trainer kits need to put together as we have pretty much finalized teams.

New socks we need to look at 3 1/2 weeks to get new ones

CLINICS RAY PAVEY

Ray has been in contact with Bruce Eberhart who was a pro goalie in the minors for goalie clinics

First two clinics are going to be Pee Wee checking clinics

He also going to have clinics for puck control and skating

Greg Knight was interested in doing some clinics also

Rivard was not so sure about any

OMHA clinics are not available for this year maybe next year

Clinics will be ready to go for October.

TIME KEEPERS Ben Salomans- he has 5-6 registered for time keepers.  He indicated that he would like to see them get a raise of $2 / game

Currently they are getting paid $8/game up to Pee Wee and $10/ game Bantam and up.

Probably use only 1 kid per game up to Bantam rep.  He will use 2 timekeepers for Juvenile

The kids that he wants to use are minimum 2nd year Pee Wee.

Motion to give time keepers a raise $10/ game up to Pee Wee and $15/game Bantam and up.

Ray asked about kids that have a legitimate chance to make a rep, team that are injured for try outs.

In the book of operations it has to be stated verbally or in writing.

There are 6 midget A.E. teams minor / major will be playing each other

The winning team is to email the games to Dennis Kentz.  Both teams are to email if there is a tie

Cindy has a list of courses on the OMHA website

Old Coaches can take the refresher course

Bothwell is taking the all star Shamrock game

Sue Michkalski arrived at the Shamrock meeting late – all team officials must have PRS.  An online course is available for this.  A coach must be 16 years of age or 2 years older than the team they are coaching.  The manager must also have PRS and be 19 years old

Cindy has all the new game sheets

Ridgetown will not be having a midget team this year
